Amarillo Art Institute

The Amarillo Art Institute is a community art school that provides classes, workshops, and art activities for all ages and art levels. We have a wide variety of events and opportunities for everyone. Check out our website for the most up-to-date offers. 

Sunset Center was the first mall for Amarillo and was the most popular place to shop for more than two decades until Westgate Mall opened its doors in 1982. Ann Crouch later purchased, developed, and opened the Amarillo Art Institute in 2004.

Today, Arts in the Sunset is run by the Crouch Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization. The Foundation was created following the death of Ann in 2017 with the sole purpose of reviving the well-known art center. Arts in the Sunset and Amarillo Art Institute is now her legacy that the Amarillo Art Community gets to be a part of. We have classes, workshops, kid’s activities and camps, studio artists, art shows, exhibitions, and more.
